Course Description

This course "Empowering Voices: Reproductive Justice and Equity" is specifically designed for mental health professionals who seek to understand and integrate the principles of reproductive justice into their practice. Reproductive justice is not only a matter of health and human rights but also a critical component of mental well-being. This course will provide mental health professionals with the knowledge and tools to support their clients holistically, addressing the intersectionality of mental health and reproductive justice.


This course highlights: The foundations of reproductive justice, the impact on mental health, case studies and real-life application, advocacy and support strategies, and resources and networks.


This is an intermediate level course however, there are no specific prerequisites for this course. The course is open to mental health professionals, students, and individuals interested in gaining knowledge on reproductive justice and equity for all.

Alexis Frederick-Bouy, is a Sexologist and Mental health Therapist. Alexis’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Bloomsburg University, a Master of Arts in Community Psychology and Social Change from Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University. She served the mental health community for over ten years focusing on family dynamics emphasizing attachment, communication, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and resource building. Alexis' passion is to educate and empower individuals to live a fulfilling life by challenging survival thinking and living patterns and replacing them with thriving patterns. Alexis is a wife and mother of two. Alexis is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. ************************************************************* Adreeonah Mundy is a licensed professional counselor and the owner of Being Made Well Counseling LLC, a private practice dedicated to empowering women through faith-based and clinical counseling. With licenses in both Pennsylvania and Georgia, Adreeonah specializes in helping women navigate relationship issues, imposter syndrome, work-life balance, spirituality, and challenges unique to creatives. Her approach seamlessly integrates psychological expertise with spiritual wisdom, offering holistic support to her clients. As a speaker, Adreeonah frequently participates in panels focused on mental health and spirituality, sharing her insights to uplift and inspire women. She is also a writer and mentor, committed to guiding others on their journeys toward emotional and spiritual well-being. Through her practice and public engagements, Adreeonah continues to make a profound impact on the lives of women seeking healing and growth.
